Spread the love

StreamElements ( https://streamelements.com/ ) is a streaming addon service providing a multitude of features you can add to your stream and analytics about your stream.  StreamElements also offers a Tipping System, Chatbot, and most impressive to us is their Overlay system.

Overlays

The StreamElements Overlays – https://streamelements.com/features/overlays is the most robust overlay engine we have found. They offer a large set of pre-made overlays that are ready for plug and play with your stream.

However, the best feature of StreamElements Overlays is the ability to customize them. They provide an easy to use WYSIWYG (What-You-See-Is-What-You-Get) editor. Drag and drop any images or text into the overlay, change properties, show/hide and a wide range of other options to configure your overlay to be as unique as your stream is. Take a look at their Overlay Editor in action:

Stream Elements Overlay Editor Example

To use the Overlay Editor:

  • Login to Stream Elements ( https://streamelements.com/dashboard/welcome-back )
  • On the left, click Themes Gallery
  • Select an Overlay you like and click Create on its tile
  • You may need to give it a name before you can create it
  • Next click on See theme in My Overlays
  • Click the Pencil (Edit) icon below one of the scenes from the theme
  • Congratulations! You can now use the Editor to customize the theme!

Now you can use the URL provided for that stream as a Browser Source in your Streaming App and your new overlay is ready for your stream! Speaking of, take a look at our Best Broadcasting Apps to get a look at some great ways to broadcast your stream – Best Streaming (Broadcasting) Apps

Analytics

StreamElements provides stream analytics to help you understand your stream viewers, time streaming, subs, bits, hosts, raids and the changes from your last stream for better or worse.

After each stream you’ll receive an email with the details of your stream. However you can review your analytics on your StreamElements dashboard by logging in and clicking Dashboard on the left.
